Final Post

These eight weeks have allowed me to really flesh out and develop an idea that was very primitive when I first thought of it. Knowing how difficult it is for independent artists and student artists to get exposure on their works, I feel like my idea can really take off.

Some of the concepts I learned or became more knowledgable about that will help further develop CreativeHealer Entertainment  throughout these eight weeks include social media, task-management programs, and ways I can make the site more easily accessible to people. After all, the site is meant to generate more exposure on people's works. Social media is very important through developing a staff who want to be a part of the CHE team to finding artists to spotlight. Sites such as Twitter, SoundCloud, and Vimeo are all important to the music and film fields. Task-management programs like Microsoft Excel and some Cloud-based programs will help CHE in organizing work and materials. QR codes will help market and advertise my site and which will give us more people to work with and expose more people.

I am deeply considering turning CreativeHealer Entertainment or something of a similar nature into effect. I am talking with some of my friends who are interested in the same idea to see how we can all contribute and get started.

Networks and CreativeHealer Entertainment

The website for CreativeHealer Entertainment will be very important to the company's success. It will be a hosting site to artist's independent projects, CHE's independent projects, and collaboration projects between CHE and other artists.  I will have to buy a domain name that is easy to remember and type. My (dot)com will have its own IP address that will be leased out to my company for a certain amount of time. Once that lease is up, I will have to renew it in order to keep my site running.

My site will be sending out and receiving packages to and from different locations. Hopefully, as my business grows, the farther hops these packages have to travel. Even though networking, IP address, DHCPs, and all the other things we dealt with in lab are important, I don't know how to further relate this topic to my business.

Color and CreativeHealer Entertainment

Color is a very important issue in the visually-based industry of film and even in some aspects of the music industry. Color can be an issue when dealing with web-design, for our own personal page, color of a promotional picture we are producing, or the color spectrum that is captured in a video we are producing. The two color spectrums that CHE is most concerned with are the Red, Green, Blue Color spectrum and the CMYK Color Spectrum.

In the digital world of color the Red, Green, Blue (RGB) Color is the dominate spectrum. This will be important to CHE when dealing with promotional pictures and any videos we produce. When dealing with our clients, it is important to tell them that we deal with the RGB spectrum, and explain to them the difference between RGB and CMYK. The main difference is that RGB Color are primary colors whereas CMYK are secondary colors. When color-correcting videos and using any type of after-effects are used for photos or videos, RGB spectrum will be used. If we decided or are required to print any photos, it will be necessary for us to convert the color to CMYK. It is important that this transfer is done carefully to make sure our product doesn't get messed up.

Although this hexadecimal system is mainly used in HTML and CSS Color Range, it is still something that the staff of CHE should understand, especially the web-developer of our site. The hexadecimal system is a six-digit, three0byte system that references color. Each hex triplet has 6 values, each value ranging from 0-9 and/or A-F.

Input/Output and CreativeHealer Entertainment

For the movie/photo industry, quality is very important. Not only do you need people who know how to use the equipment and be able to create their vision onto the screen, you need good equipment. That's why megapixels are very important when choosing equipment, and the use of RFID codes are important to CreativeHealer Entertainment.

The term 'pixel' is generally used to described the quality of an image or piece of photography and digital equipment. Digital cameras are measured in megapixels, which is millions of pixels. The higher the megapixels, the higher quality the image. Since most projects that CHE will make will be done digitally, megapixels are very important in both video and still images. When doing still photography it is important to pay attention to the megapixels when both shooting the picture and printing the picture. When printing, the megapixels translate to how big an image I can print depending on the dots per inch (DPI) of the printer. Let's say the printer can do 300 DPI. I then take the pixel resolution of my camera, let's say it's an 16 megapixel camera, so the pixel resolution is 4920 x 3264, and divide each number by 300. This then tells me that I can print 16.40" x 10.88" photo.

In order to be as organized as possible with the equipment used by CHE, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology will be used. RFID technology is a system used to transmit the identity of an object using radio waves. All the equipment will be stored in a warehouse, and all of it will be given an RFID tags. An RFID tag has a microchip in which the information is stored. Depending on cost, it still has to be decided which tags will be used - passive or active. These tags will then be read by an RFID reader, which will let the CHE staff know which equipment is being used and which is still in the warehouse. Because of the cost of the film and music equipment and the cost of RFID readers and tags, this technology will not be needed by CHE until CHE has a sufficient amount of revenue to spend on extra equipment. It is highly possible that CHE will never use this technology because it will never have excess equipment, but it is still a possibility.

ID Theft and CreativeHealer Ent.

Protection of my client's identity and my staff's identity is something that is very important. I want my customers to know that their information is safe with CreativeHealer Ent. and I want my staff to know that when they make purchases for equipment, locations etc. their information will be secured.

When clients are paying for my services, credit cards would be the preferred payment. This way, both the customers and I know that the transaction will be secure. I will also supply them with an electronic or hard copy of the billing statements as well as an official receipt of every transaction that occurs. This way, there is plenty of communication and everyone knows where their money went.

For my employees, they will be required to go through a brief identity protection training so they can protect their identity as well. This will benefit them personally as well as for the company. This way, they know how to properly handle customer's accounts, and they can protect their own identity when making any purchases they need to make for the company. All transactions made by my staff using company money will be computerized and will need to be approved by me.

Microsoft Excel & CreativeHealer Entertainment

Excel is one of the most convenient tools for any business. With a strong understanding of how the program works, CreativeHealer Entertainment would be able to easily keep track of our accounts.

When making my billing statements, I can plug equations into cells in order to calculate money I have to bill out, as well as money I owe to companies for equipment rentals or location rentals, etc. I can do this in a 30-day time period, or any cycle I wish to do billing in. I can also make a graphical analysis to track my profit statements, spending statements, or any other statement to which I would like to view trends. Conditional formatting will allow me to easily interpret data and will allow for an organization of data. The same idea holds for Pivot Tables. Pivot Tables can also help my company show the people we are working with their financial statements, if they have any questions about their billing.

These Excel functions can also help me organize my business by the industry I am working with. I can have all my business dealing with film in one data-sheet and all my business in the music industry in another. This will help me be more organized with ideas, so CHE can have thorough focus on our clients.
